Sydney- reduced adoption fee Adopted on Mar 09, 2013
Age: Adult (10 years and 5 months)
Meet Sydney! Sydney was rescued from a kill shelter in Southern Illinois. She is an ~ 11 yr old female cat. She is spayed, Felv/FIV tested negative, fully vaccinated and front paw declawed. Sydney is an owner surrender due to the owner developing allergies.
Here is what her foster had to say:
Sydney is absolutely gorgeous with the softest silver grey fur. I have been holding her this morning and she really doesn't shed much which is a wonderful bonus. She absolutely requests that she be an only cat as she does not feel that she should share affection or space with another cat. That being said, she is a totally loving and affectionate cat who likes to cuddle and loves to be petted. She would be the perfect cat for an older person or couple who want a companion. She is very curious about the surroundings and checks everything out but hides when she sees the other cat. The two have been face to face and there were no fights other than a lot of hissing and scowling on Sydney's part but when the other cat comes in the room, Sydney goes and hides under a table and sulks!! She's really kind of funny about it and pouts, but while she is under there will still let you pet her as she gives you a disapproving look! She is a super friendly cat but she is a prima donna who would LOVE to be the center of attention in a home of her own.
We are asking and hoping that one of you will be willing to open your hearts and a spot in your home for Sydney so she can begin the next journey of her life.
She is currently being fostered in Marengo, Illinois and would love to spend the holidays in his furever home! Houdini's adoption fee is $10, if you are interested in meeting her or adopting her please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are the dogs or cats currently listed not what you are looking for? Do you have a favorite breed and are having trouble finding it? Feel free to send us an email at email@example.com we come across hundreds of dogs everyday and we can help you find your perfect dog, perhaps another one of our fellow rescues might have exactly what you are looking for! We partner & are constantly networking with some of the best rescues, and if we are not the perfect fit, we will help you find one that is!
We will do our best to respond to any and all requests and contacts as soon as possible, but we are a 100% volunteer run rescue. It is great because that means we can keep our adoption prices low because we are not paying salaries, but all of our volunteers do have families and "real" jobs in order to support our passion of saving animals from euthanasia, often just days or hours before they are scheduled to be put to sleep. That being said, one of us are going to do our best to contact via email or by phone within 24 hours of any inquiry. It is not uncommon that when you have made the decision to add to your family and committing to adopting a rescue dog that you are very excited, we just ask that you be patient with us.
Thank you so much for considering adoption!
